Ontario Mobile Municipal Emergency Operations Command Centre
In May 2007 the unveiling of the brand new Ontario Mobile Municipal Emergency Operations Command Centre took place at our 2nd annual Emergency Preparedness Day / RiskWatch Safety Fair event! With 66 displays that year, we were one of the largest in North America, as we were in 2006! Each year we keep growing and it is a wonderful event!

Contractor Safety Performance
The contractor safety performance, as measured by the Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) improved from 1.9 over the prior 5 year period to 0.3 at the end of 2009.
RiskWatch Program Updated
Updated Canadian versions of the RiskWatch Program, including French versions, were purchased by LSCC in 2008 and distributed to elementary schools in the Lambton-Kent District School Board, St.Clair Catholic School Board, the French Schools and Christian Schools in Sarnia-Lambton.
The Sarnia-Lambton community experienced a RiskWatch "save"
In December 2006, a 4 year old boy was choking on a grape while riding a bus, and a girl who learned the Heimlich manouever at a RiskWatch school, slapped him on the back, dislodged the grape and saved his life!
