Contractor Safety
The objective of Contractor Safety is to develop and implement Best Practices for use by Contractors who work for the major companies in Sarnia Lambton, under the umbrella of the Industrial Educational Cooperative. Over 200 contractor organizations are actively involved. >>>more
Healthy by Design
The mandate of the Healthy by Design subcommittee is to decrease the rate of falls-related injuries experienced by Lambton County residents age 65 years and older. Its focus is awareness building about preventing falls along with promoting physical activity as a means to reduce falls. >>>more
Lifesaver
This program is designed to teach essential lifesaving skills to students in Grade 7 and above. It is available to students in Lambton County Schools and is presented by trained instructors of St. John Ambulance for the Lambton Safe Community Council. The Lifesaver course introduces students to recognizing emergencies and increases awareness to safety issues. >>>more
RiskWatch
This program provides training, support and resources to teachers for students from Kindergarten to grade 8, for injury prevention lessons targeting 8 risk areas:

Safe Roads
The objective of this program is to reduce injuries from motor vehicle collisions including drivers, occupants, pedestrians and cyclists. Focus has been on speeding, seat belts, booster seats and school bus safety. >>>more
Sports & Recreation
This program promotes safe cycling, in-line skating, skateboarding, ‘wearing the gear’ and safe play through promotional campaigns, organizing in-line skating and cycling safety skills camps, complying with CSA standards for playground safety equipment and surfaces, and play safe rules. >>>more
Young Worker Safety
The Young Worker Safety program was developed in the fall of 2006 with a vision to have no young workers injured on the job in Lambton County. The intent is to make the Young Workers Safety Awareness Training mandatory for employment for all young workers in Sarnia Lambton. >>>more
