Lambton SAFE Community Council
…making Lambton County a safe place to live, learn, work and play
It was for all parents, grandparents, teachers, employers, youth, youth group leaders, social services staff, volunteers, and anyone who share LSCC's mission of reducing needless injuries and illnesses or tragedies in our community.
Community members came to find out more about the many ways Lambton Safe Community Council makes a difference in our community!
The guest speaker was Paul Kells, the founder of Safe Communities Canada, and father of Sean Kells, who lost his life due to a workplace tragedy.
All enjoyed the OPP Rollover Simulator and Constable John Reurink's presentation!
This piece of equipment simulates a rollover at about 30 MPH and demonstrates WHY you need to wear your seatbelt. On the second "roll" you will notice the unbuckled DUMMY on his way OUT! By the third roll it is thrown out under the simulator. Needless to say what the outcome usually is with a real body. So BUCKLE UP!
Refreshments were enjoyed by all who attended and many door prizes were given out!
